On Saturday, 01/28/12 at 0945hrs, the Vernon Township Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Highway 94 approximately ½ mile South of the New York State border. Upon arrival, the Vernon Township Police found a Tractor Trailer carrying nine (9) crushed vehicles to a scrap yard, had rolled over. The load of crushed vehicles had broke free during the crash and were strewn about the shoulder of the roadway. The driver of the Tractor Trailer was not injured.

The Vernon Township Fire Department, Vernon Township Ambulance Squad, McAfee Fire Department, Glenwood Pochuck Ambulance Squad, and the Warwick Police responded to the scene. Traffic on State Route 94 was interrupted for several hours while the motor vehicle crash was cleaned up.
